At the end of June, Capwatt began the experimental installation of bifacial panels, an initiative of PROBONO, an EU H2020 project.. The facility is located on the SONAE Campus, specifically in the Green Energy Lab, a space dedicated to innovation and experimentation in the areas of energy and sustainability. The pilot aims to test the impact of using a "Cool Roof" reflective cover in photovoltaic production. The installation has a total of 26 bifacial panels, with an installed power of 10kWp, half of which are applied on the "Cool Roof" cover and the other half will serve as a control element and does not have this coating. The installation was developed in partnership with SOPREMA, which is part of the PROBONO consortium and has developed this reflective coating. The project runs until the end of 2026.
